Imagine two long lines, with contestants paired up, tossing water-filledballoons back and forth! After each toss, the distance between the two linesis increased, increasing the challenge of tossing the balloon gently betweenthe partners. The lines slowly shrink in size as drenched partners laughover broken balloons. The last pair standing with an intact balloon becomesthe new champions!
Kid's Carnival
After the Children's Parade, volunteers set up a carnival with games, crafts, and activities for kids of all ages. Tickets are sold for 25 centseach. All proceeds go to the Ramsey Park Fund for park improvements. Thecarnival normally funs from about 10:30am to 12:30 pm. Volunteers with anidea for a booth or an interest in helping are always welcome! The activitiesdon't have to be elaborate ... last year's favorite was the fingernail paintingbooth! We also seek donations of "Happy Meal" type toys to giveaway at the Duck Pond booth.
Antique Car Show-off
Residents who own motorized vehicles at least 24 years old are invitedto shine 'em up and show 'em off during the morning's festivities. Theseantique vehicles will be parked along the west side of Ramsey Park for viewing, not driven in the parade. We ask that you register your intention to bringa vehicle; we will reserve a display space and print an information sheetabout your vehicle. It is great fun to gather the fine old vehicles togetherfor the neighbors to see, hear, and enjoy.
