Greg Guernsey with the City of Austin talked with Matt Thompson of CPMS (Capital Physicians Management Service) about the city's interpretation of the covenant. Several members of the steering committee will meet with Mr. Thompson this Thursday (21st) to discuss how CPMS and RNA can find an equitable solution to the problem. Stay tuned.
Alternatives are being investigated for a different host for the RNA website. It would be ideal if the new host supported our current URL so that there would be no confusion after the switch. One possible alternative is MAIN (Metropolitan Austin Interactive Network). We are looking for suggestions for other alternatives.
Several residents noticed an increase in the amount (and lack of artistic talent) of graffiti. Everyone is encouraged to call the Graffiti Hotline (854-4125) to get graffiti painted over. It usually takes about a week for the city to respond.
The RNA Yearly Meeting will occur during the regular monthly meeting in October (19th). This meeting will cover topics not normally addressed at the monthly meeting (e.g. a report from the treasurer), as well as elections to the Steering Committee and the Presidency. A newsletter will be delivered announcing the meeting.
