The Steering Committee is a volunteer group. Members are nominated based on their involvement in neighborhood activities. The President(s) of the Steering Committee is responsible for organizing neighborhood activities and is the neighborhood association liaison with the City of Austin. The Vice Presidential position is responsible for arranging programs for the Association's meetings, although this has been folded into the co-president position in recent years. The Secretary/Treasurer manages funds taken in by the Association and provides the Association with an annual report.
Although this group is elected by the neighborhood as required by the Rosedale Neighborhood Association's by-laws, anyone interested in volunteering their time and effort to neighborhood activities is welcome to become involved with the various committees and other volunteer opportunities. More volunteers help spread the workload and allow the neighborhood to accomplish more as a group.
