The work to complete the renovations to the park shelter restrooms at Ramsey Park were completed during summer 2002. The work included modifications and replacement of the restroom fixtures, plumbing, and entry doors. Additionally, new concrete ramps and sidewalk have provided easy access to the adjacent sidewalk and the adjoining pavilion.
Ramsey Park was one of five sites that was modified under this contract. The other sites were Brentwood Park, Comal Park, N.E. District Park, and Shipe Park. The Parks and Recreation Department has plans for the modification of an additional six sites with another five to six sites in the future as funds become available.
